    GAUVIN, Ivan J. "Ike" WWII Veteran Legion Member Stittsville - Branch 618 Monday, June 28, 2010, at his residence at Granite Ridge in Stittsville, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary Gauvin (nee Harris). Loving father of Gary Peter (Colleen Showler) of Rockwall, TX, Gail Elizabeth of Mountain View, CA, and Glen Arthur (Kathleen Beattie) of Scottsdale, AZ. Cherished grandfather of Chris (Rosemary), Adam, Alex, Ryan and Krystal. He is survived by two siblings, Gerard "Pete" Gauvin of Moncton, NB and Armand of Lachine, Que. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, Kanata, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1489 Shea Road (Corner of Abbott St. E.), Stittsville for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11 a.m. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.

Legion Service – Friday at 7 pm. The funeral reception with sandwiches etc will be after the funeral on Saturday around 12 noon. 

Ike was Zone Sports Officer until I took over from him in 1980 and later served on his Branch Executive for many years.

FLYNN, JOHN MICHAEL “JACK”

Suddenly on Sunday, June 13, 2010. Jack Flynn of Smiths Falls and formerly of Almonte, age 72 years.

Beloved of Constance M. Dodge. Step-father of Susan Fischer (Carlos), James Dodge (Val), Patricia Ladouceur (Moe), Laurie, Thomas & Debbie Dodge. Dear brother of Patricia Bailey, Mary Gallant, Nora Flynn, Fred, Leonard (Phyllis), Bill (Marlene) and George (Yvette). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother Dominic.

Friends may call at the C. R. GAMBLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL INC., 127 Church St., Almonte, for by visiting on Wednesday, June 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and where a complete Service, including committal will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 2 PM, Rev. Fr. Lindsay Harrison, officiating. Cremation to follow.
